2009 Chinese New year weekend is the opening of MSC fishing activities.
The entourage left for Rompin on Saturday morning and reached safely to the shore of Rompin Beach Resort later in the day. The weather was good but was very windy. Fishing was generally done at night while in the evenings when the tide is low the surfcasters, En Rahim and Aznaff awe passer by seeing them whipping their surf rods reaching distance that normal beach angler envy.
Fishing was great with En Rahim score top spot by hauling all smilangs of all sizes. On day 1 En Rahim caught two whopper and he bagged three more in the early morning of day 2. Haji Hamzah caught 2 smilangs and Aznaff and Twelvefooter only catches some belukangs as they both uses big game rigs. En Rahim and Haji Hamzah both uses paternoster/flapper rigs.
The breeze was raving and water became so brackish with enormous undercurrent. With head winds, casting on the night of day 2 was a disadvantage to anglers. The rough sea was also carrying a lot of logs and tree branches. In spite of that a few more catfish in blukangs were caught but the sight of smilangs was none. Anyhow, a spot was name for En Rahim known as Lubuk Encik Rahim the spot where he caught smilangs in many numbers and smilangs in many sizes. En Rahim also is still MSC record holder of pari when he hauled up a whopping 15kg pari in Teluk Rubiah.
That is all folks. Till later.
